Talib-e-Wahdat by Irfan Ali Taj
Presented by SIMURGH #IrfanAliTaj #Talibewahdat The old form of this Qasida/Kalaam has been recited in Chitral, Gilgit Baltistan and Central Asian countries for centuries as part of their Devotional/Spiritual practice. This is an Artistic presentation by Irfan to pay a tribute to this beautiful kalaam (mystical poetry), with the hope that this may inspire the youth and future generations to seek wisdom through music and the arts; eventually through the books which are treasures yet to be explored, all around us. If you desire to see my face open wide you inner eye, For the outer eye sees nothing but my timeworn body. If you desire to know me know your self first, For I know those Who know me. While I resemble a drop that has come out from the sea, if you recognise the drop you'll know that I am the sea (Translate from Persian by Muntazir Ali Baba ) Streaming and downloading li.sten.to/irfanalitaj Get in touch with Irfan Ali Taj on Instagram at @irfanalitajmusic www.facebook.com/irfanalitajmusic
